Well, Where should I go for my vacation next year?
Going to Seattle's out, as I no longer have a girlfriend out there (we're still friends)

GenCon?

San Francisco?

LA?

Canada?

NYC?

Boston?

Chicago?

Detroit?

Austin?

DC?

3. Chicago, but not in the winter.
There are loads of things to do there, and the lakefront is spectacular in the summer. The architecture and public artwork are really cool, too. Great food, great museums and other attractions. Of course, I'm prejudiced. I was born and raised there. Wish I could go back.

Canada would be another excellent choice. I've been to Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Edmonton, Vancouver, and Victoria. All were fabulous. So were the Canadian Rockies.

4. Montreal would be my first pick
After that it would pretty much be a tie between San Francisco, DC, or Chicago.

5. Who cares what we recommend? Where do you WANT to go? REALLY want to go?
All the places on your list are great destinations, although I might add that Canada is a huge country with almost as much variety as the U.S. (no subtropical areas, though).

Read up on them, and eventually one will grab you.

I would say Canada then too - only because I've never been there. :)
