Yes, we're supposed to be men, damn it. Hairy, sweating, muscular brutes. And maybe not so into the emotional side of life.

But, the thing is, some of us just don't work like that.

True confession time. I DETEST action movies, westerns, war movies, and various other entertainment of that ilk. Bruce Willis jumping out of the way of explosions, no thanks, it's just too much noise. Clint Eastwood blowing away the bad guys, I'll pass, who needs to see that.

Now, Richard Gere's Edward wooing Julia Roberts' Vivian -- I'd probably wear out the dvd eventually.

So, am the only guy that hates the "macho" stuff? Probably not.

5. Better than Moon, I think
And I really liked Moon. I went into it almost cold, knowing little more than it was a well-regarded s/f flick. Didn't even know it was the same director that did Moon which I think it surpasses. Ebert gave it 4.5 stars but don't read his review as it's full of spoilers.

This intelligent sci-fi-thriller is a worthy follow-up to Moon that marks Jones as one of the best new filmmakers around.
Matt Neal / The Standard

Travels back in time and borrows liberally from the vaults of Rod Serling, and does justice to his legacy.
Bruce Bennett / Spectrum

2. When I see a sentimental movie...
I cry. Yes I cry, not like a baby, just enough to suffer through it.

And I was a middle linebacker.

4. I love good action movies.
I do get tired of seeing the same old story repeated again and again with different actors. But I do love a well-made and somewhat original action movie.
