Poll question: When you are on a medication regimen, what do you say you are doing?
Edited on Wed Nov-09-11 10:47 PM by Aristus
In a typical day of clinic, I hear variations of the ones below. What do you say?

1. I bend over and insert my medications.
.
.
.
I don't REALLY take them that way, but I like to see the raw
burning envious looks in others' eyes when I say it.
.
.
.
And, you know, the way to a man's heart is through... well,
you know.
.
.
.
I tried to make it an oral regimen, but those damned
suppositories taste like shit.
.
.
.
At a certain point... quite literally.
.
.
.

13. No. The emphasis was on the verb.
'Medications' is just a word I've become accustomed to using.

I got the idea for this poll because I have one patient who, when his blood pressure is sky high during a visit, assures me that he has been "eating" his meds as prescribed. I thought that was an odd way to put it, and I wanted to know who else uses a verb other than "take".

3. 'Medications' is a useless neologism I refuse to use;
I take my medicine as prescribed.
