At that point, I became certain that she DID take a lot of LSD and mushrooms while in college....(Later, my son asked about LSD, I told him it was a drug that made you see things that weren't really there. His reply was, (and I quote,) Did the people on the news take a lot of LSD too?

Ouch!!!!!

6. there is some correlative evidence
Edited on Tue Apr-06-04 03:20 PM by 56kid
I emphasize correlative not causative evidence that the incidence of depression is higher in people over 40 who did substantial amounts of psychedelics in their 20s.
Whether it is because of the physical effects of the drugs themselves (due to changes in serotonin production) or simply because of getting depressed after having beautiful visions that faded has not been determined....

"I then told her that America is lucky to have a president with testicles that are used for something other than teasing interns with and that on 9/11, America found out who her friends really were."

Did anyone not expect that??

7. "and then she (the writer) stopped talking"
Well, if I were sitting next to someone dumb enough to say "I then told her that America is lucky to have a president with testicles that are used for something other than teasing interns with and that on 9/11, America found out who her friends really were.", I wuold stop talking as well and just let it be.
