What is your antidote for a bad day?
If you've had a bad day, what do you do to feel better?

2. Chocolate and a good book
or chocolate and a good movie.

Or chocolate and a good TV show.

You get the drift.

10. You know it!
15 miles tonight with Rage Against the Machine cranked up in the headphones and pushing it until I felt the burn. :-)

Cool about Bike the Drive! Blue-Jay is probably going to be here for it as well. We'll have to make some plans as the day gets closer. I think you get a few bucks off if you register early.

Anyone else interested?

14. How do you handle tunes and traffic awareness?
I need the aural cues like the sound of "monster mudder" tyres howling up behind me.
So I'm hinky about putting headphones on and cranking.

Yeah, she's sending me her measurements so I can prospect for a mount down here for her. she's not in tune with the used bike scene up there. I know she thinks that "lifecycle" at the gym is all that, but we know better, don't we? :-) she THINKS she can do the full 30....:7

15. Well, tonight I was riding
on a designated bike lane in the street. During the daylight, I'm on a paved bike path. Where I'm at anyway, it's all cars so I just ride assuming that they're always behind me. I know it's probably not the safest thing, but at least I have a helmet on at all times. ;-)

Well, I hope you get her hooked up with a bike real soon. She better get some practice in on the actual road if she thinks she's gonna make it the full 30.

16. I keep forgetting that you have paths...
Not much chance of a 4-passenger baby-SUV w/a roller-blading power unit sneaking up behind you, is there? :7

5. Johnny Depp and a glass of red wine
Edited on Wed Apr-07-04 11:14 PM by supernova
There's a Johnny for every mood, depending if I want to be cheered up or I want to exorcise a couple of personal demons:

Mischevious and clever: Capt Jack

Innocent fraidy cat: Ichabod Crane

Morose and brooding: Inspector Abberline

Decadent and Depraved: Raoul Duke

Overburdend and claustrophobic: Gilbert Grape

Smarter than he looks and gets no credit: Sam

Innocent freak outsider whom everyone misunderstands: Edward Scissorhands

Two hours and a glass or two later, my perspective is much improved! :D

21. that is pretty cool
you are a Depp connosieur (sp?)! It would probably be fun to have a Depp retrospective/ marathon. Hmmmm.

What about him in that John Waters film... he was cute in that too.

8. The beach after 4 pm
...when it is done baking its occupants and the sun lovers have mostly gone home. Go for a walk or a run there, it is a complete world unto itself, look at the sea, listen to the waves, inspect the universe of details in the sand, stare at the sky and breath.

18. Hot bath, good flick, Comfort food
Usually with vanilla bubble bath, something funny like "Singles", and Stouffer's turkey tetrazzini finished with a carton of Ben and Jerry's (whatever flavor strikes my mood at the moment).

Then a good book before bed to fall asleep by. And a small glass of Bailey's on the Rocks.
