There it will stay for 4 years. I got simple ribbon and I am going to hand it out to everyone I know. I tied it in a simple double knot. At least this works until we get the other bracelets off the ground. It makes my grief and anger feel more visible.

1. I've thought of using some Velcro strip that I can take off when
in the shower. I had some leftover after customizing my doggies' coats.

I used the larger tabbed parts, but now have Velcro about an inch in width that would be perfect....

2. After 9/11, we couldn't get flags in Manhattan.
No vendor was prepared for the sudden need to show the colors.

As soon as Manhattan was unsealed, my mother drove in and brought me two bracelets made of red, white, and blue twisted yarn. I wore them. I still have them.

I'm going to ask her to make me a yarn bracelet in black.

4. magnet ribbons- I had an idea today at the craft store
The craft stores near me sell various types of those magnet ribbons so I was thinking of buying one and spray painting it black.

5. Thought about a black ribbon around my tree out front
Not sure how many people would understand why it is there though. To hell with the yellow ribbons, a lot of good those have ever done.
Maybe a black and blue ribbon intertwined would make a good bracelet too. There were threads earlier this week about blue bracelets to let everyone know we voted Blue, and none of this shit going on will be laid at our feet.
