Poll question: Should a site be set up to track U.S. Casualties in Iraq?
I am considering setting a site up to keep track of the numbers of dead U.S. troops who lost their lives as a result of the ongoing Iraq war fiasco. The media has decided to drop the counts and the standard operating procedure to obscure those numbers has been put into effect by the Pentagon, I am sure.

However when a soldier or marine dies it will regardless be reported by the local news outlet. That much I am certain. I am also certain that had the internet been around back then as it is now, someone would have considered doing the same thing.

The media is certain to stifle coverage of the growing U.S. dead in order to gain more support. A site to list the dead will certainly give us all a better idea of what is happening out there. An independent source will give us all much more reliable data.

Let me know what you think. Thanks.

1. this is a very good idea
you should also list the wounded if you can. The wounded count is very high and is getting very little/no press.
