GTA is vile. It's also great fun. The hatians are members of a drug cartel. And they usually shoot first. I prefer to run them down with a truck.

if what you want is to increase sales of GTA-Vice City, then by all means protest. You're a little behind the pike though, people were protesting almost a year ago about the prostitutes depicted in the game.

The game has all of these radio stations that you can listen to, including an incredibly toungue in cheech right wing hatetalk radio station. Lighten up. It's just a game. And a really fun one at that.

I hate that term politically correct usually, but this is is the classic example of political correctness gone insane.

First, like the others say, you really should actually look at the game before attacking it. I haven't seen vice city yet, but I saw the previous which is most likely similar. It portrays gangs, in order to be realistic/ironic it approximates reality where people are racist and violent. Portraying reality more or less accurately is good. Don't shoot the messenger.

There are examples where this can be stretched too far. For example, if there where a video game called terrorist rampage, let's say (I don't think it exists), where the enemies are all protestors and people from India, this could be appalling, unless it were intended to be satire or irony. A person with a brain would be able to tell which it is and argue for their position.

All this is more of my favorite flogging horse. The enemy of justice and freedom is not on one side of the left/right line. The enemy is the left/right line. A dumb fascist would be a Republican. A smart fascist would probably be a Democrat.

By the way, why was Vice City so controversial, when it's predecessors were just as bad, the only difference was the addition of a chainsaw and a motorcycle. GTA3 was just as popular but had less bad publicity.
