Planned Parenthood needs donations to help with Texas clinic

Abortion-clinic boycott ignites battle royal

As part of a "mobilization campaign," the national organization is soliciting donations to raise the remaining $300,000 needed to build a $4.2 million health center in Austin, Texas, plus finance a "bold national campaign" to thwart opposition to abortion facilities across the country.

I just sent them $25. Any donation from a Texan will go 100% to the clinic fund. Any donation from outside the state will go 40% to the fund and 60% to the campaign

I guess women will have to get abortions, gyn exams, and get family planning counseling out in the sunshine if this sort of harassment continues.

I'm in Austin and this anti-choice campaign has been truly pathetic. The worst thing about it is that Planned Parenthood provides so many other services that women need as well and these are all threatened. I use them as my main health service provider. I gave too.

4. Population and reproductive rights movements need to get local

GET LOCAL The reproductive rights and overpopulation movements, and progressives in general, need to give up on the federal government and concentrate mostly on city hall and some on states. City halls are the best place for abortion funding because they have a variety of constituents, starting with Berkely CA.
