1. Yes, but where did it come from
I like the looks of it but I'm curious about where the funding and initiative for founding this group is coming from.

2. I believe by supporters
of Kucinich, Braun, Dean, and Sharpton. One of their doners is the computer company that was behind Dean. I believe the group may be tied in with the Congressional Progressive Caucus and may take part in the "progressive convention" that Kucinich wants to host.

3. Thanks.
This sound like what I've been looking for. I regularly revisit the Congressional Progressive Caucus site,

http://bernie.house.gov/pc/

but it hasn't been updated since April 5, 2001. (check the last daily update.) I couldn't even find a way to send them money.

For those of us who feel that the repub-lites have taken over the Democratic Party, supporting a unified progressive core of DEMOCRATS is the best way to combat creeping corporate conservatives from within the Party. I'm not ready to give up yet.

I'm going to spend some research time on this site, but it seems like the real deal. If they check out, I will start sending them money and posting the link to threads complaining that the Party has abandoned its traditional base.

Many voices singing together beats one voice crying alone.

This is run totally on the up & up and he wants to keep the progressive ideals going for all of us...

What's Next?

The progressive voters rallied behind their candidate in the primary season. Now what?
It has never been just about the individual candidate, it has always been about the message, about the movement, and about the people that want to reclaim their democracy. We are here to embrace the power of the grassroots, and to organize toward progressive change.

Progressive Vote is a new national political organization uniting a progressive base of voters in the 2004 general election. We will demonstrate to the Democratic Party that there are many voters that represent progressive values. Too many to ignore! We will use this base to help the Democrats win with our issues at the core of the movement!
