Vigil and protest:
May 26 - Barbara Bush will attend a Republican Women fund raiser and business meeting in Lincolnville Beach. There will be a presence of concerned citizens to call attention to our government's policies. Military Families Speak Out, Maine Veterans For Peace, Women in Black, Code Pink, Peace & Justice groups are expected, all are invited to stand for peace and
justice or display their signs. Please come if you can.
You may remember Barabara Bush's comment made last year:
"Why should we hear about body bags and deaths," Barbara Bush said on ABC's "Good Morning America" on March 18, 2003. "Oh, I mean, it's not relevant. So why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that?"
http://www.commondreams.org/views04/0429-11.htmschedule: 10:AM fund raising; 10:30AM business
meeting, followed by luncheon.
Lobster Pound restaurant, Lincolnville Beach, Rte 1.
Everyone should be assembled outside the restaurant by 9:45 AM for the arrivals. If you can't come that early, come for the vigil and post lunch departing participants. Let these Bush supporters, women mothers, know how we feel. Parking is very limited at the site, but there is plenty at the ferry terminal parking lot just a short walk away (you'll see the signs for that) and a couple of spots at the post office lot across the street. If you need a ride, signs, or anything else, there is help.
