1. Awesome! He's got GAME!
Thanks AP! Geez Louise. He's smart, he's handsome, he brings it strong to the hoop! That was so much fun to watch.

Edwards is great. Very politic of him to stay on tarheel-wolfpack fence. He said that "all of us" had talked to Gore prior to Dean endorsement. He does great on tax reform and college for everyone. Discusses Dean Smith endorsement. Why isn't this guy getting more attention? I don't get it. Maybe if he winds handily in SC things will pick up. I'm not really into the electability metric since I think its bogus but Edwards seems like the most "electable" of all. (Other than DK that is :-))

3. I'm not going to re-watch the segment, but...

...didn't he admit that he was a bigger Tarheels fan these days?

In Four Trials, I think he said his son really wanted to go to UNC.

Also, he got into Duke for law school but went to UNC because Duke was too expensive. On the show, I think he and the host (who also went to UNC) made a joke, "tarheels or wolfpack, doesn't matter, so long as it isn't the Blue Devils."

4. yes
If I recall he said he currently favored the tarheels or some such thing. To which the host gamely replied that maybe that was because he knew she was tarheels fan as they already discussed it. To which he sincerely responded that yeah he likes them both but he really does currently favor tarheels. At least that is my recollection.

5. It is so clear Edwards needs to be our nominee
And clips like that just prove how he can take it to Bush, who looks stupid trying to act just like Edwards acts naturally. We have no other candidate who is as easy in his own skin as Edwards. People will love him -- we just have to have the good sense to nominate him.

6. I totally agree.
I just saw him in person. He was giving a great speech and there were moments when people really applauded, and then there was a moment when a few people applauded and they hestitated because it was just 5 or 6 people and he pauses, and says something like, "yeah, that's alright" to let them know it's OK to aplaud, and there was something that was really natural about it. It's hard to describe why this was so interesting. He was able to go from prepared speech to acknowleding a spontaneous reaction at a spot that wasn't an applause line, and communicate with those few people in the audience, and then go back to the speech.

I really don't see any other candidates who are able to do little things like that so well.

8. And that picture of Edwards diapering is another reason
why he will connect with the swing voters who don't have the time to be activists. He is the real thing.

7. Right on the head...
You hit the nail right on the head DemDogs! Senator Edwards has a plan for all Americans and the ability to take the values debate to Bush.

The Presidential debates would remind me of how Governor Clinton walked circles around Bush Sr. :bounce:
