To: For the DNC leadership and state leadership
Subject: Fair and equitable treatment to all candidates for the President of the USA during the primary and caucus process
Date: December 13, 2003
For the statements of the DNC chairman Terry McAuliffe: “We’ll be down to three or four candidates on the morning of Feb. 4. If candidates haven’t won one of those nine contests, people should assess their candidacies. ” This is wrong and anti-democratic; please let the people of all states decide from the full slate of candidates to choice from. “McAuliffe said he expects the front-loaded primary calendar to produce a nominee by March 10, and the DNC will quickly air ads in support of the candidate. ” Too quote that the Democratic voters within this country screamed out after the 2000 elections, “SELECTED NOT ELECTED,” would fall back on this party if the lack of leadership within it forces the “less popular candidates in the 1st nine voting states to leave the race thereafter”. Let me remind the leadership of the DNC a small sentence. “We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.” This sentence doesn’t start “We leading in polls within the US, which has a pre-selected ordained mandate from a selected political party leadership…” or “We of those that have the most endorsements within the US, which has a pre-selected ordained mandate from a selected political party leadership …” or “We of who has raised the most money within the US, which has a pre-selected ordained mandate from a selected political party leadership …” Therefore, Chairman Terry McAuliffe; let us, the citizenry of the United States of America, decide for whom we want us to represent the Democratic Party after the National Convention. If the leadership of the party deems it necessary for the removal of these 4 or 5 candidates thereafter February 4; I strongly urge the state’s parties that could save money for their states–not have their primary or caucus to put those monies in their schools and public services sector. As well, for the supporters of those 4 or 5 candidates, you should protest at your county and state offices for the forced resignation of the leadership of the national party. Make a lot of noise of on this subject. Don’t let the leadership of this party do what the Republican Party has done to the whole country for the 3 years—cram down BS down our throats. Yes, Chairman Terry McAuliffe, I do understand that you want to start launching advertisement attacks on the current Republican president. But by you wanting this too happen so badly; but what are the backlashes of your ordained desires. I foresee those individuals that left the party for 3rd party’s—not ever coming back. As well, for those citizens that spent THEIR time, money, and energy for those that you won’t allow them a choice to vote on? I foresee the acceleration “of the bleeding” to an outright hemorrhaging of membership from within the Democratic Party to 3rd party’s or too far worse to the Republican Party. But please let the citizenry that vote do the deciding thru their votes.
====================================================================== End of letter ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I am trying to get a very powerful statement to the states and to the national leadership on this subject. As well, I want to send it too the local newspapers to try to get it in the editoral pages.
Thanks
