AP Interview: Dean says Osama deserves death, beef farmers need aid
Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean on Friday assailed the Bush administration for failing to set up a livestock tracking system he said could have averted the current mad cow scare and said he supports federal aid to help the American beef industry weather the storm.

In a wide-ranging interview with The Associated Press, Dean also said he wants Osama bin Laden to get the death penalty, seeking to minimize fallout from a New Hampshire newspaper story Friday in which he was quoted as saying the terror leader's guilt should not be prejudged.

"As a president, I would have to defend the process of the rule of law. But as an American, I want to make sure he gets the death penalty he deserves," Dean told the AP in an phone interview.

The former Vermont governor, who solidly leads the field of Democratic presidential candidates in both polls and money, said he was simply trying to state in The Concord Monitor interview that the process of trying bin Laden needs to be fair and credible.

3. We haven't even caught Osama yet? Geez.
And they are trying to get an answer on how to try him and what penalty? How pathetic.

8. Of course
We will eventually capture him and try him, and I hope, kill him. It was a valid question. An easy question. Too bad Dean flubbed it.

"Osama is innocent till proven guilty"

THEN

"He deserves to die"

I guess that means we execute Osama even if we find him innocent!

4. So is Dean also advocating the death penalty for pRez Bush,
who has done far more to damage the U.S. than Osama bin Laden has?

Frankly, I think he was stupid to jump the gun when we don't even know for a fact that Osama bin Laden was behind 9/11.

5. Beef farmers need aid
Another corporate bail-out. Most of the 'beef farmers' are giant corporations, already getting enormous subsidies. Why must WE pay to bail them out for the consequences of THEIR CHOSEN BEHAVIOR? Oh. That's right--they're corporations owned by Very Wealthy Elites, and there's a rule that Very Wealthy Elites must never suffer.

Dean is a pro-corporate disaster trying to happen. Bush Lite. How is it that so few people are willing to see this?

6. THe heck with the cattle farmers. WHY DOESN'T DEAN CARE ABOUT CONSUMERS?
While Americans are worried about what their kids have eaten, Dean wants to help out the cattlemen responsible for the crisis. They actively lobbied to avoid inspection standards. If anyone gets hurt, it's the fault of the cattlemen Dean wants to protect.

7. So what makes Dean different from Charles Manson?
Both felt it was alright to execute without a trial. They had equal respect for our Constitution.
