Candidates Debate Health Care
Moseley Braun, Dean, Gephardt and Kucinich debated health care at the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union national convention in San Fransisco last Thurdsay. Kerry participated via satellite.

News coverage here, here, here and here.

Choice quotes:

"We need to focus on wellness instead of just sickness-based care that benefits corporations and special interest groups," said Moseley Braun.

"I think most working people would gladly give up the small tax cut Bush gave them in exchange for health care that nobody could ever take away," said Dean.

"This issue is in my heart, it is in my head, it is in my gut. I will not rest as your president until every American has health insurance," said Gephardt.

"We need to stop being the only industrial nation that doesn't recognize that health care is not a privilege, it's a right," said Kerry.

"Nothing less than universal, single-payer health care. Medicare for all is the only answer," said Kucinich.

You can read the stories for a little context. I haven't yet found a transcript or webcast.
