Now is the time for Kerry to admit he was wrong
Kerry has one clear shot at taking this election (provided, of course, the fix can be averted) and the window of opportunity may be closing soon. He must stand up and admit he was mistaken when he voted for the IWR, and we must do whatever necessary to repair the damage and secure an orderly establishment of power (including increasing the troops), then get the hell out ASAP.
Americans are a forgiving lot. What we hate about politicians is lying, arrogance and the refusal to admit mistakes. The tide is turning on Iraq. Kerry needs to be bold and decisive. I'm not very confident that he is either.

1. I wish Kerry would grow a couple....
and really start calling Bush what he is: a friggin LIAR.
What the hell is Kerry afraid of? Where is the REAL opposition?

2. Yes, but...
...Kerry needs to be careful that criticism of Bush doesn't get spun into a "he doesn't support the troops" attack from the 'pubs - as we all know it would. IMO, Kerry is playing his cards pretty well. The Chimp administration's own incompetence is already discrediting them, it's probably best for Kerry to stay clear of the trainwreck.

3. This would in no way get votes
Except maybe to pry a couple of votes back from Nader. And he should in NO WAY POSSIBLE apologize for voting for IWR. He was flat-out deceived and bullied into it by Bush, just as nearly every other Democrat was. THAT needs to be highlighted - that Bush lied and our soldiers died because of it.
