Paul Kirk (MA) endorses Obama; now within 20 superdelegates

Superdelegate count (Total Delegates pledged + SD): Clinton - 257 (1593); Obama - 237 (1727).
(While Kirk endorsed in March, did not meet the count criteria of DemConWatch. These are their new numbers as of 10:34 PM CST)

Edited: Clinton held a Superdelegate lead of 97 as of Feb. 10, 2008.

1. I'm not sure what you mean by "within 20"?

would that give him 51% of the SD"s? or puts him over the top, counting expected delegates from remaining primaries? or just enough SD's to mathmatically prevent Hillary's nomination?

I'm sorry if it's obvious, I just don't get it.

At this point, Clinton has 257 SD endorsements, Obama has 237 = a difference of 20. In Feb, Clinton had a lead of 97, her highest edge on SDs of the campaign. There's a really cool graphic that shows what has happened over the past two months here:
