A great opportunity for Convention attendees to welcome Native Americans to the Democratic political process.

1. I am disappointed and somewhat insulted that DUers can not be
bothered with a post that stresses the lenghts some Native Americans will go to become part of the Democratic process. So much for DU Progressives!!!!

6. Thank you for boosting it. I think it is an important read. INDNS
are starting to get their unity together. And most of them are Democrats.

9. Where have you been?
Native Americans have been part of the process, at least from the Democratic side, for quite awhile now.

BTW - my stepfather, who has been my father since I was 1 year old is a member of the Narragansett tribe.

So you can just step off with the outrage.

I think it's incredibly insulting to all the Native American political activists to have a freaking "Welcome" attitude - as if they haven't been part of the process and fighting all along.

Did you pay any attention in 2004?

And don't yell at me.

10. I believe that you are the one who is yelling!!! Now, would you please name
all of the activists who have been involved in the political process. If you read the article you would see it is a welcome to Obama.

13. Iam of Canadian Mohawk extraction. 'Getting out the Native Vote' is something
I have been involved with for the past five years and I can tell you it is not easy. Ben Nighthorse Campbell (R/C0) was the last Native Senator and he has retired. I am not certain how many Natives there are in the House but Mary Kim Titla from AZ is trying to be the first Native female Representative.

Kalyn Free a Choctaw from OK was very much involved with the "Prez on the Rez" until mid-summer when the top contenders - Obama, Clinton and Edwards would not participate because of the union troubles with Native casinos. I have not heard from her since. Alyssa Macy is the one who has set up this meeting in Denver and I have already congratulated her.

NO!!!It is not easy getting out the Native Vote!!!!

12. I'm done with you
It's quite obvious you have no interest in reasoned discourse.

BTW - using all caps and lots of these !!!!!!!!!! is typically interpreted in online language as yelling. In case you didn't know.
