Why Sarah Palin was a good pick for the GOP
Let me explain my logic before I get pilloried here:

Independents like myself who support Barack Obama and Democrats are busy trying to tear down John McCain's surprise pick for Vice President. They say she is less qualified than many other potential candidates that McCain could have selected. I would tend to agree. But, that's neither here nor there. The question is whether she can help McCain win the presidency. And on that score she looks like a good gamble. Let me explain why?

Now, after you've read my post, let me have it. I'd like to see a good debate focused on breaking down the potential strengths of the Palin pick that I point out. My interest here is to stop the Anti-Palin free-for-all and home in on the critical weaknesses that will help Obama win.

3. There are 1000 more qualified people
There are 1000 more qualified candidates: Olympia Snow, Bailey Hutchison herself, Libby Dole, just to name 3 women. But, would they give McCain the same bounce? Maybe. Would they give him the same buzz? No. The Republicans have completely shifted the focus away from Obama. Completely.

What the TPM vid shows is 100% accurate. My fear is that it doesn't matter.

5. Noonan is a hypocrite
She wrote something totally different in her column from what she was saying off mike. These people can't be trusted.

7. she was telling the truth when she thought she wasn't on record
surely you realize this.

surely you realize that talking heads on tv are full of shit when they speak as representatives of one position or another, no matter what their political affiliation.

She told the truth. Palin's nomination is a joke. She's an Assemblies of God member - this is a church that believes speaking in tongues is still acceptable, as well as current, modern prophecy.

Palin is a car wreck. I don't want her within a million miles of my govt.

Alaskan: Governor Babe for VP!
February 28, 2008

**RUSH: The babe is the icing on the cake aspect, something the Democrats can't claim on their side.

**CALLER: She can't take a bad picture not even from the back end.

Palin's Media
FEBRUARY 26, 2008 - 12:05 PM
From Sean Cockerham in Anchorage --

Sarah Palin is getting all kinds of media during her D.C. trip.

Check out this gushing piece in the American Spectator that declares "Sarah Palin, the beautiful conservative Republican governor of Alaska, would be an ideal choice to help McCain slay this unholy ObamaOprah beast."

"Gov. Palin could become the Republican Party's Segolene Royal, the French Socialist Party's glamorous leader known for her heels and political bite. She is the perfect antidote to Sen. Obama's cheap thrills, and would help rejuvenate conservatism."

8. She distracts
The whole GOP campaign is about distraction. Every news cycle we talk about troopergate or moose is a cycle we don't talk about health care.
