1. Sorry, I watched him in the Anita Hill
travesty. He tried to act tough while letting the Republicans walk all over him. Ever since then, whenever I see him he displays the same quality. Biden for president? No No NO!

4. I don't see that
he will get some support but the question is who will he hurt the most. He was fiercely pro-war on Iraq and I think he may hurt Lieberman the most.

5. Absolutely
I am not sure why posters seem to conclude he's toast. Joseph Biden speaks well, he is well-respected by colleagues, and he has experience with foreign affairs given his time on the FR Committee. His problem will be fundraising. Otherwise, I don't see why he is so terrible. I would say Kerry voters will be most attracted to him.

7. A bag of wind
Biden's a bag of wind. He talks and talks and talks, and doesn't say anything. All the while with a shit-eating grin on his face. He strikes me as totally shallow. Outside of Delaware, I don't see him winning anywhere.

8. Great speaker, bad history
Biden is a terrific speaker and I don't think he is shallow at all. His past, which drove him out last time, is still his past, though. The press won't let anyone forget it either.

3. Oh, criminy. Biden? Good grief.
Well, maybe he will appeal to some who are leaning toward Kerry, I dunno, but why would he want to run, and why now? I've never been drawn to that guy much. He is almost the cartoon politician.

6. Does Biden have money left
from his last campaign, or has he been raising money on the QT?

10. It's too late for another entry...
except for Clark or Gore, who have strong Draft movements. I don't see how Biden can raise much money and get name recognition in the short time between now and January 2004. And there's the RAVE Act.

11. Sitting members of congress don't get to be president
JFK was the most recent sitting member of congress, either senator or congressman, to be elected President and even then it was a close election.

Americans don't really trust legislators with the White House. I don't think it's a conscious choice either, but an instinctive thing. This is why Dean has the best chance, IMO.

Biden has zero chance.

12. Guys, this is good news for us Dean supporters
Biden jumping in the race will divide the conservative/DLC vote even further, boosting Dean's (and possibly Kerry's) chances.
