Dammit, I dunno if Trippi et al knew just how powerful a stupid little bat could be in helping raise funds for Dean.

Whenever a see it, I feel urged, nay, compelled to donate.

we just raise $2000 for Dean this week ($4000 w/matching funds)...I fear people may come after me with a bat if I try goading my list of Dean supporters to give more! :-)

But it's very hard to resist the temptation.

Will that amount go to the bat? I sent a check yesterday but I'm guessing the bat is all on-line?

I helped to park cars. I'm not sure if this will go to the bat or not, though.

I met Dean and watched a great speach. What a wonderful experience!

Since we raised the bat in the early morning hours today, the Dean grassroots have come out in force!

An incredible 4,727 Americans have contributed $251,363.20!

You are demonstrating that the American people have the power to defeat this President. As Joe Trippi wrote in an email to more than 305,000 Americans this morning:

Yesterday George Bush took time off from his vacation to go fundraising again, this time in Portland, Oregon. At just one event he brought in $1 million from 500 of his biggest contributors. Outside the fundraiser more than 2,000 Americans gathered to speak out against Bush’s failed policies, which have ruined our economy and damaged our standing in the world community. Yet pocketing $1 million dollars was enough for George W. Bush to thank the people of Portland for their “warm welcome.”
We can’t let George W. Bush continue to rack up millions while the American people are left out in the street. Your efforts at posting positives about Dean here also have value. It's not all about money, it's about spirit, too.

I am in serious financial straights so I am doing what I can. I had hoped to donate but not now. If I am lucky I will be able to do so in late September which will still count toward Q3. For now I can post things here and do some work in my area which is what I am trying to do.

I gotta give credit where it's due to you all, as much as I personally oppose Dean, you folks are making some really great use of resources!

and I hope to see more of the Dennis K who showed up at the latest forum and less of the previous ones. I have followed him for years and that yelling thing was both very new and quite off putting. I am glad he seems to be quitting that. He is a good man.

I'll tell you as a DK supporter, it seems there are mixed messages. Some would like to see more of his passion and others would rather he saty true to form and be as kind and gentle-voiced as always.

I'm one of those toss-ups. I think there's a time for each approach and maybe the people egging him on aren't on the ball with the viewers, you know? I love to see his fire and passion, but seeing it in assault on the other candidates maybe is not the way to show it.

I'm not personally convinced Dean is an honest or different politician, but that's my personal take on him. I don't expect anyone else to have the same view I do of any of the 9 candidates. Worse, I really HATE that we have to be so nasy to each other!

Dislike Dean personally, ok. Not give credit for efficient use of resources? WHY? I mean really, you guys have been amazing with internet resources! Way impressive!

though I don't have a whole lot to do with it. My opinion is that Dennis is way too hot for TV in most of those debates. He frankly came across as both angry and a bit scary. That said, his latest one was much better. I never had a problem with what he was saying but rather with how he was saying it. Again I like the Dennis I knew and admired more than that one. In any case, I do hope that he keeps on keeping on in any case.
