6. It was fun to watch
but he needs one or two more "thank you" lines when addressing the crowd. I heard, "Thanks", "Thank you", "Thank you very much", "You guys are great" and "Tell your friends" about 50 times each. :)

16. I suggest he get some rest...
If I just took the trip he did, I'd be a babbling idiot by now (but, then again, I guess I'm always a babbling idiot)...

:-)

22. I am with the program
and have experienced some burnout myself lately.

I organized a local ice cream social in our little rural town with Joe Trippi as its special guest. This was right after organizing our first Meetup. Both events were big successes, but, man, if I didn't unplug a bit over the weekend, I'd be a vegetable right now.

I can't imagine what traveling around the country in five days would be doing to me right now.

Physician, rest thyself! We need you fresh and ready to fight!

24. He won't rest...
This is how he campaigns. He's going to keep up the pace he's been keeping all the way to November of 2004. Granted, he won't squeeze quite as much into such a short amount of time as he has the past few days, but he's not going to slow down until he retires entirely from politics in 2012. :D

8. Of course...
...it's kind of hard when confronted and walking in a crowd so large and diverse to engage in dialogue with everyone, not to mention the dangers discussed in other threads.

3. Wasn't it just yesterday...
Edited on Tue Aug-26-03 09:49 PM by w13rd0
...that there were several threads about how Dean was "over" if they didn't meet their goal? Man, the predictions of the Dean campaign being "over" are about as reliable as Oral Roberts predictions of the return of Jesus ;)

WHOOT!

Oh, and a correction...

He didn't do it. We did. This campaign is being defined and driven by its supporters. I guess that's what happens when you get people involved in caring about the direction of our nation and the methods we use to achieve our goals.

9. No need to single anyone out...
...there are "bashers" among the supporters of every candidate, and there are "Dean bashers" among the supporters of most every candidate. I'm sure some will find their way to bash, as they do every thread with Dean in its title. That shouldn't surprise anyone...

Congratulations to Dr. Dean.

I for one have never bashed any candidate and will not start now.

27. Thank you Kerryfan
I don't like to bash the other candidates either. Kerry is a great candidate and although I want Dean to win, if he lost the primary to Kerry, I would be okay with it...after the first few weeks after the primary of course. At the end of the day, we're all on the same side.

I would vote for Leiberman if I had to. I would hold my nose and take a shower afterwards, but I would do it.

As far as Dean watching his back...it scares me to think our country has come to this. Unfortunately I think you may be correct.

there's no need to incite anything.

12. Awesome
The way they revealed it was astounding! I loved the singing of Take Me Out to the Ball Game by the crowd and Dean holding a bat while they revealed the Internet bat at $1 million. This campaign is on an unstoppable roll! I wish I could have been there...what a sight to see :bounce:

26. the blog tells us that more than 6,000
were there...but that is really not the point...we are on a mission to reclaim this country...too many...some of my own family are not seeing that our rights are gone...whoosh...gone....we have to get them back..this is not the country you grew up in folks.....i am not paranoid...i am watching...they are systematically taking it all away, and we are just thinking..'well. ok, we'll get it back later'...in your dreams!

29. You can get on the blog???
I can't. The sucker is jammed. I get a proxy error now which really sucks because I'm so addicted to the blog that it's now my homepage.

I had a feeling something would go wrong when the blog team decided at the last minute to pick up everything and go to NYC. I hope they're able to have fun and enjoy the moment though instead of freaking out about the jam. Dean fans will rumble a little, but I think the majority of us will understand.

36. Indeed, as I will celebrate Kerry's victories
and I expect him to have many. :)

He promises to come at Bush full throttle, and I can't wait. I know this part of the race is partly the Dems against one another for the nomination, but I love the parts where they all attack Bush. It will be interesting to see how he defends against Kerry.

37. Very Cool, Dr. Funkenstein
We'll inevitably disagree on who's the better candidate, but when it comes down to it, we're all in this together...and I do hope Kerry's tour is a huge hit, too! The only loser when Dean or Kerry or any Dem enerergizes the electorate is the fascist faux cowboy occupying the White House.
