The next debates with the Democratic presidential candidates are sponsored by the Democratic National Committee. Two more debates, to be held in November and December in Iowa and New Hampshire, have yet to be scheduled.

3. Exactly - that's how they control the post-debate analysis

and make sure that only their viewpoints are heard. It's basically their opportunity at rebuttal with impunity.
