Tex. Dems still in Albq., Colo. Dems come to N.M. to show support, Tex. Gov. Perry stays the course.

Texas Governor Rick Perry said today (Wednesday) that he will continue to call special legislative sessions on congressional redistricting until the issue is resolved. Eleven Texas Senate Democrats fled their state and have been staying in Albuquerque to protest the second special session on the issue. Beginning tomorrow, they’ll face minimum fines of $1,000 a day, as ordered by other members of the Senate. Meanwhile, five Democratic state senators from Colorado are on their way to Albuquerque to show solidarity with their Texas counterparts. Colorado Senate Minority Leader Joan Fitz-Gerald says she and her colleagues will meet with the Texans.

4. I heard that Whitmire went back to Texas and will give
the Thugs the quoarum they need if another special session is called. Is he back in New Mexico?
