In Arnold's case, where this is smoke there is a FOREST FIRE! You think 15 stories is bad. Just wait, there will be more. Just remember what happened to Packwood. Why would the Republicans want to put someone in office who's going to be tied up with this battle for several years? (Oh wait, yeah, I remember the 2004 election....and $9 Billion dollars)

He told Tom Brokaw that he wouldn't respond to any of the charges until after the election. Gee, California, Arnie wants you to elect him governor so he can then spend the rest of the time in office fending off charges of his impropriety.

I hope he gets shut down hard in this election and then all the criminal charges come in afterwards. Bankrupt the bastard.

Dean's people in official positions in the Democratic Party,in certain places, banned supporters of other candidates from working on the anti-recall campaign. I know people who have written Art Torres letters complaining about specific instances and nothing was done. Certain Dean people in the right places in the Democratic Party turned over voter records (party property) to Dean campaign officials and refused access to supporters of other Presidential candidates telling them that they couldn't be trusted because of whom they were supporting for President. This dramatically limited the number of people who could work against the recall. Where this happened, supporters of other Presidential candidates were limited to voting against the recall and urging their friends to do likewise. By the way, I hope Dean reported the party donation to him.

Given the numbers, I don't know how much good it would do, but voters records to one candidate only -- that's dirty stuff.

I really don't want to get people in trouble in a forum anyone can read. But there is a lot of anger over the voter record situation where I live. It was not done secretly but very overtly. Volunteers of other candiates are trying to put together money to buy records from the Registrar of Voters that are not even close to as high quality as those given to the Dean people.

Where did you get this? Or do you just "know people"? Why would any Dean supporter try to keep others -- no matter who they supported -- from working against the recall? What kind of nonsense is this? Here where I live, we have mostly Dean and Kucinich supporters, and we certainly worked side by side against the recall.

I'm just a kid but I know what I saw. I understand I am old enough to testify if anything comes of it.

i can't believe arnold is governor of california. shame on those californians who voted for arnold! and shame on the media for escorting him into office. uuuuuuh my head; it hurts.

i think the dems have been really really patient with the repukes, and i think that patience is going to run out very soon. they had better not try anything in the general...
