Progressive Review's candidate matrix
Stop over and have a look (it's a table, not a gif, so it's not more linkable than http://www.prorev.com ...it's a bit down the page)

He gives each candidate marks out of 10:
1 ELECTABILITY
2. PROGRESSIVE POLITICS
3. LIKABILITY
4. POPULIST POLITICS
5. PRACTICALITY
6. MIDDLE EAST POLITICS
7. WAR AND PEACE
8. CIVIL LIBERTIES
9. COMPETENCE
10. INTEGRITY

...with the best mark being a green box and the worst being a red.

From whatever I can tell, Sam Smith supports Dean, but, interestingly, he puts Dean in 5th place, giving Dennis the highest marks (7 green, 1 red), Gephardt next highest (6 green, 2 red) possibly tied with Sharpton and CMB (5 green, 1 red), Dean (5 green, 2 red), Edwards (2 green, 2 red), and with Kerry trailing well back at 1 green, 2 red.

2. Odd Lieberman isn't on that list.

I feel Dean's Middle East policy probably should be in yellow - not red. But I do agree that Dean isn't the peace candidate (though I feel he'd better the cause more than a few other hawkish candidates,Lieberman.

3. This is a crock.
These ratings are illegitimate based on the perception of the imperceptive, not reality.

5. It's so obvious that when someone tries to convert subjectivity into objec
tivity (whith "math" and logic) that there's way more subjectivity involved than you might imagine.

7. If you have objections, why not write him?
He does say he'll listen.

And he really doesn't pretend that it's anything except his personal assessment, so I think it's a bit unfair to criticise him as though he were claiming something else for it.

I mean, I personally think 'electable' shouldn't even be included since objectively it's a 'crystal ball' item, but it's his choice.
