$87 billion not an emergency
Edited on Thu Oct-16-03 09:01 AM by kplongco
Democrats released a study Wednesday by the nonpartisan Congressional Research Service contradicting the administration's position that the $67 billion for the military is needed immediately. According to the study, the Army could finance operations through next April or May with the money already appropriated.

Maybe this will provide some cover for the folks who want to vote "no" unless the administration pays for this debacle by delaying some of the upper end tax cuts.

1. Longer than I thought.
So even after Halliburton makes its outrageous profit off our soldiers' welfare, the already appropriated money is sufficient.GOOD REASON TO VOTE NO, boys and girls in Congress.

Take the time to examine and question how every penney will be spent.

And no, we don't need no monument to bashing Saddam and no zip codes for Iraq, and the money for the body armor was already appropriated in the defense budget, so what's your excuse now?

2. That answers a major question of mine...
I'm interested to see how supporters respond to this study.
