Dean's bat. Kerry's hammer. And now Kucinich's light bulbs
Kucinich has added lightbulbs to the front page of his site in hopes of urging supporters to help him reach his goal.

October Goal: $400,000
$180,000 gained so far.

I'm in the poor house right now. Maybe I can spare $20.

3. Contribute to your local fund, whatever you call it....also.
Money for copying, gas for going house to house in different neighborhoods and communities, supporting all that grass roots stuff...

We ARE grass roots, but need the water(money)and natural fertilizer(money) to support the grass.

The sunshine is DK himself.

4. The Light Bulbs harken back to his saving Cleveland Public Power
So at least he's using a symbol for which he was previously known.

6. It was a blog thing
I thought it was incredibly stupid, but some male bloggers went a little cuckoo with a Kerry hammering Bush mantra. So the campaign picked it up for money raising. I like the light bulbs and was thinking it was like when a light bulb goes off over your head. "oh yeah, Kucinich is right", or something like that.

8. $400,000 for October?
Edited on Mon Oct-20-03 04:11 PM by Loyal
Why doesn't Kucinich just admit that he is not a serious contender for the nomination, and that he is only using his run as a possible springboard for Senator of Ohio or Governor. If he is still close to dead last in fundraising by the end of the year he will have NO chance at the nomination. I'll count on him to drop out in February.

9. Loyal...
just wondering...who are you loyal to??

You realize its a lot harder to come up with big $$ when you don't take it from corporations, don't you?

Thanks for adding your supportive words...
<sarcasm off>

Peace

10. I love it

when Dems complain about how much money is being thrown at politicians and then when someone isn't raising enough to satisfy them, they complain again. Can't please some folks, I guess.

Kucinich is the ONLY one not even taking PAC money, let alone the corporate dollar.

I can't wait to see DK sitting in the Oval Office as President with the lowest fundraising numbers in history because the grassroots efforts paid off for him. ;)

12. You are wrong
Kerry doesn't take pac money. Also Dean has taken very little. HIs 15 million in the third quarter came almost entirely from internet individual donations. Finally, none of our candidates take corporate money due to it being illegal.
