Finally, Clark would create a new Atlantic Charter that would stipulate that although the United States will not give up the right to act alone, working together with European allies should be the first option."

3. Don't pronounce "obliquely" that way!!!

Just heard Clark on CNN this morning. He pronounced "obliquely" (something like "... the president obliquely referred to it....") as
oh-blike'-ly instead of oh-bleek'-ly.

Note: I just looked it up and found that his pronunciation is the military form. I had never heard it pronounced that way before and it grated on my ears.

I hope he fixes it in the future for the civilian listeners.

Oh, never mind. I feel like a pronunciation nazi.
