<snip>

But first the retired four-star Army general, former NATO Supreme Allied Commander, former commander-in-chief of the U.S. European Command and now a leading candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination stopped at a modest manufactured home in a working-class neighborhood about five miles outside town.

"This afternoon I visited with the family of Darius Jennings, a courageous young man who gave his life this week in Iraq," Clark said.

<snip>

"I was overwhelmed," said Harriet Johnson, Jennings' mother. "He came not because he's running for president, but on a more personal basis because he's a retired Army man himself."

"My first time meeting him, my spirit agreed with him," Johnson said. "He's a nice person. He shares the way I feel because he was at war and he came back alive (although injured) and my son was at war and he came back dead."

I wonder if Shrub has provided any of those hugs for the families of our fallen soldiers yet...

4. Buzzard Brains couldn't be bothered....
it would take away time from his $2000 a plate campaign fund raising dinners.
General Clark is a fine man and a highly decorated soldier with the credentials to back it up, I'll bet he keeps KKKarl up at night.

5. It is hard for AWOL ...
Edited on Fri Nov-07-03 09:51 AM by Drifter
to relate to this type of behaviour. Although, he was in the military, it was not to serve his country, but to serve himself. He was never exposed to the realities of the military. He did not get to experience the death of his comrades. He did not get to experience the proper reaction of the commander in chief in response to deaths. The same holds true for his Presidency. It is not to serve his country, but to serve himself.

AWOL is proving that he is completly out of touch with reality. He can not take a small amount of time out of his packed re-election campaign to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrific, again, not for his country, but for himself.

Thanks AWOL, for reducing the value of our dead soldiers lives to nothing.

I don't think we can wait for next years election. Calling Mr Whitman !?

Cheers
Drifter

6. Of course Bush wouldn't do this.
He has no character and he is a dirty filthy lying piece of shit. Clark has more character than you can fit in Texas.
