Hey, Clark seems to be holding his own...here's some gems.
The other thread got locked due to it being a dupe on the poll
but the following shouldn't be sunk so I reprinted it here.

This is just FYI for all the folks to get more details on
Clark :loveya:

Baucus to back Wesley Clark for president
Associated Press

WASHINGTON (AP) — Sen. Max Baucus of Montana will endorse retired Army Gen. Wesley Clark for president rather than any of Baucus’ fellow Democratic senators who are running for the job, a spokesman said Wednesday.

First, as president, I would press Saudi Arabia to join US forces in creating a US-Saudi commando force to work the Afghan-Pakistani border where bin Laden is thought to be hiding.

The Saudi regime is as responsible as anyone for the rise of Al Qaeda.....

5. Pretty soon the corporate media
Is going to have to grudgingly report that Wes is ahead in SC, every other southern state, a bunch of northern industrial states, and in most National polls - waaaaaahh says Judy W! (not in script...must read Rove fax...)

6. He leads Dean nationally...
Edited on Thu Nov-13-03 12:18 PM by DakotaDemocrat
I've seen links to a WSJ poll that Clark leads Dean nationally (poll needs subscription, though :grr: ). Not that polls make any difference at this time, but its good news because this is the first time Clark has led Dean in THIS national poll.

All without the pundits talking about Clark. This "slipping" campaign still has legs, regardless of what you don't hear about the General!

SUPPORT THE TROOPS - ELECT ONE!
CLARK '04

7. In all honesty

I have witnessed, with my own eyes, many great things going on in the campaign. Every area that I am involved in, from the internet side to the actual "boots on the ground" side is picking up speed and catching a wave.

I, like many others, was impatient to get started on something - anything. Being politically inexperienced, I had absolutely no idea what to do.

Now, with guidance from the campaign, I have been involved in canvassing, volunteer service, and am getting ready for one of those trips to NH or SC.

I have watched this campaign make a turn for the better and, I have to say, I am loving it more all the time.

We REFUSE to be ignored for long!

8. It is time for all of us to admit it . . .
Clark is leading the frontrunner in at least one national poll. In all national polls (whether he is leading or not) he is statistically tied for the first spot. He is winning a head-to-head match-up between he and Dean on an unscientific poll here on DU. He is also the prime target for the GOP and their television pundits.

Given his poor performance, there can be no doubt that his campaign is fading. I think that it is time for him to fold his tents and go back to Arkansas. (Sarcasm Off!!!!)

I think that it is time to challenge the conventional "wisdom" that Clark's campaign is fading. It seems to me that he is about to catch some wind in his sails. I think that his campaign is about to take off!!!!

10. Holy crap! Good for Baucus!
I can't believe I missed that article in my hometown paper... I guess that's what happens when I stay offline for one day. I am PSYCHED about the Baucus endorsement, because hopefully it will get more people in Montana to notice Clark. I think he'd really have a shot at winning in Montana overall more than any of the other Democratic candidates.

The guy is growing on me...
