Non-Politicians Who Would Make Great Public Servants

It's kinda an oddball topic, but there are some folks out there that are either too smart or cynical to get involved.

A good example I can bring to light is Mitch Albom, and author(Tuesdays with Morrie, The Five People You Meet In Heaven) and sports journalist for the Detroit Free Press, I remember he did perhaps the funniest anti-gun editorial I've ever seen, and he's as sharp and compassionate as they come. I think, but am not sure that he'd be a Democrat.

3. I love Mitch Albom....

he is really a terrific human being. I think the guy who played BJ Hunnicut on Mash would be great. Darn it, I can't remember his name at the moment, but when I have seen him on talk shows, he really knows his stuff. Mike something, I think his name is.
