NYC area Kucinich supporters check in, please.
Now that I'm walking much better (recovering from serious car accident for those who don't know), I'm getting more involved in the Kucinich campaign. I was just curious to see what Kucinich supporters on DU live in the NYC area because I wonder if I might get a chance to meet you at Kucinich events.

I'm a Kucinich supporter. And I'm a Staten Islander. :hi:

2. Hi I am a Kucinich supporter but not a New Yorker
Just wanted to say :hi: and btw, I notice your statue of liberty avatar, have you noticed that Dennis talks about the symbolic meaning of it. Theres many reasons why I support him, but his message is one of hope not of one of fear, and thats what we need.

3. Yes, I have noticed.
Now all we have to do is get rid of this preconceived notion that only certain people are "electable."

I use the Statue of Liberty avatar because I'm lucky enough to cruise past it twice every day on the Staten Island Ferry. It's nice having a twice-daily reminder of our democratic ideals.

4. Hi.
Have you been to any meet-ups? Dennis is going to speak at the community center where I work on December 7th, too.

5. No.
I don't get out of work until after 8pm so I don't get to many events.

I'm definitely going to get out early to make that DU meetup next Wednesday (assuming we don't have any emergencies here at work), but that's going to be my one indulgence for the near future.

I'd love to see a blow-by-blow about how it goes. Please post some a review, some quotes, etc. after the 7th.

8. Dennis at The Center?
You didn't have anything to do with that, did you? ;-)

He'll be there on the day that will live in infamy! It would be nice to think that we might balance the day Japan attacked Pearl Harbor with the day Dennis Kucinich got the Big Apple involved in getting the country back to its people.

Do please give us a complete report. Take pictures if you can and, if you're allowed, record his comments. Since I've known your writing from age 3, I trust the accuracy of your reporting. You simply must share with DU and anyone else you can make listen.

Now that Florida's favorite son has withdrawn from the race, I'm free to follow my conscience and feel that it may count. My conscience might just be a resident of Ohio right now.

P.S. Kucinich.us is in another window. I may have negative funding, but I've got a positive attitude, a love of words, an unstoppable mouth, and a hand ready for shaking.

P.P.S. Did I read somewhere that Dennis is taking applications for a wife? If he'll help me get a vehicle with a good transmission the dog can get into and help make my bottom teeth as photogenic as the top teeth, I'll make a deal with Furry Murray. Bruce would love to be First Dog, though he'd rather be Governor of Florida - and would probably be better than the one we've got.

P.P.P.S. I'm volunteered for Dennis now! :bounce:

9. Hi!
:hi:

I had nothing to do with it. I am an outreach volunteer to the lgbt community, but I can't use my position at the center for campaigning because of our non profit status.

That's so cool that you volunteered for Dennis. I think that wife contest is a little out of hand tho. Rubs me wrong.

BTW, Bruce would be a much better Govermor than the one you have now, that's for sure.

6. There HAVE to be more Kucinich supporters in NYC!
Where the hell are they?

This thread is too small to die.

I'm surprised.
