Iowa Jefferson Jackson Dinner: Post Your On-Site Reports!
I posted the photos I took here (click on the "Iowa..." folder to view), and I posted some comments on the Jefferson Jackson Dinner at DailyKos (read downthread -- search for "Random" where it starts).

Anybody got other photos and/or reports to share?

1. Thank you for the link to your first hand account
What impressed me was the level of organization you talked about AND the fact that you were told NOT to boo the other candidates, not even in "Plan B", the plan to be used only if one of the other candidates went nuclear, I believe was the way you put it. If, at some future date, one of the other candidates does blow up big time, it will be interesting to watch the Dean supporters.

2. Excellent report
I am watching the replay of the event on C-SPAN as I type this, but it is very nice to hear the views of someone that was actually there. Your report was quite a contrast to the anemic NY Times report that was still fixated on Hillary (clue to the NYTimes, she is not running this year).

3. Was there
Edwards was the only candidate who gave a standing ovation to every other candidate. Most sat on their hands even when everyone aruond them was applauding what another candidate said.
Good for Edwards.

4. For the Record...
Dean listened attentively to every other candidate. (I watched closely.) He also applauded each one.

I believe you are correct about John Kerry, for example. I saw him leave the hall at one point. He apparently didn't stay to listen to every candidate.

5. Maybe he had to go to the bathroom. It happens.
Gosh I hope I never need a potty break at an important function or people might think I'm rude. I'll have to learn to hold it out of respect.

6. Kerry was there for all the program
he may have had to go to the little boys room, if he did it was for a short time, I watched them all.

7. I went
and it was a great event. Dean and Kerry had greatest turn-outs and I thought the camps repected each other.

The best speech of the night may have been given by my state's governor Tom Vilsak. Keep an eye out for him.
