what is this deal about "stability"?
I hear people dogging Wes Clark and Dennis Kucinich because they feel they are "unstable"...what the hell is this all about?

why are people afraid of high empassioned speech?...raising the tone of voice?...it's conviction folks

and it's what the Democratic Part has lost

embrace it and don't fear it

1. Likewise, Dean...
He's always described as "angry" and "shrill" yet I don't see it. Over and over the media tells us how pathetic our strongest candidates are and how it is impossible they will beat our illustrious "Prancing Prince" of a (p)resident.

2. agreed
i'm a die hard Kucinich voter...but I see the media doing the same thing with other candidates

passivity becomes complacency

I don't want some calmed-down psycholigical sounding person explaining things to me

i want a leader, someone who will stand before the people and let them have it.

The new Left needs to use the same visciousness as the Right Wingers...we just need to use it to promote correct ideas and not bad ones...the technique is correct as long as the ideology is correct

3. It's in the official smear handbook
Hadn't heard that one about Dennis before, not surprised by the smear though. Any non right wing passion is a sign of derangement according to the Rowe team. Mostly I thought they smeared Dennis with the ultra far leftist brush. As for Clark, the Hatchet men have a script they use against War heros who they oppose. It's the one they perfected against McCain in the primaries in 2000. "Too highly strung" and "wrapped too tight". They were brutal against McCain, mostly below the radar which is where that kind of smear is most effective. The implication is exposure to war has effected the mental balence of their targetted patriot. They want to paint Clark as a Dr. Strangelove, this of course after he served as head of strategic planning, like he really would have been trusted with that responsibility or promoted to 4 Star General if he had been "unstable". They want to make Dean out to be a nasty fellow who never has a kind word to say. Who would want such a fellow as President, they ask...

4. yeppers
under the radar is the Vaffen GOP's favorite game

well, Dennis does get smeared with the Ultra Liberal brush, but he spent all of his career getting painted with the "foaming, raving madman" brush...he still gets faulted for the passion he had when he was young...the Dennis the Menace days

i actually welcome that, and i welcome it from ANY of the Democratic Candidates

although i would welcome Joe Lieberman alot more if he dropped out of the race

I hate that particular smear! I personally find the energy and anger refreshing; good Lord, if we're not angry now, we must have been comatose for the last 3 years!
