Spoke on behalf of Clark camp at Project Impact event
It was held at Suffolk Law School here in Boston. PI is a South Asian group that tries to get their community more politically involved through registration and providing info. Dr. Saluja and I represented the Clark campaign (AAPI for Clark) and there was a rep from Kucinich (nice guy), Bush rep (not Asian), and a Kerry rep (local politician from Lowell). Unfortunately, the Dean rep cancelled two hours before.

I've never done anything like that, but when I was going to law school you learn to speak your mind in class pretty fast. It was alot of fun for us since the Bush rep (ok guy) had to defend the President so much.

I think it was clear that the Democratic party is the way to go. For my part, I was proud to announce that General Clark was the first candidate to support Executive Order 11246, which is a very powerful law that has been enforced on behalf of African Americans and women, but NOT APAs, to help them break glass ceilings. 80-20 has reported that General Clark has given his support for the Labor Department to investigate this and enforce it for APAs if a glass ceiling is found to exist. I got cut short on time during one answer so I blurted out "he's against genocide!" I'm guessing people are still wondering who represents the Pro-genocide position! You have to be able to laugh at yourself though.

Just thought I'd share w/people out here...outreach is a fun experience.

If you know of anybody who's interested in getting involved PLEASE tell them about www.aapi4clark.com.

Thanks.

3. Yes
a good report. I am looking forward, with some trepidation, to my excursion to NH in a couple of weeks. I'm not sure what I will be doing exactly as I haven't gotten the itenerary (sp?) yet. I just hope that I do okay.

Thanks for sharing this with us.

4. Most of the grunt work is just phone calls, door-to-door, or envelope
Stuffing...you'll do fine.

Any of us doing real world work for our candidates should be celebrated!
