Kerry Campaign Lends a Hand
To all of you who plan to be in Iowa this month,

"Additionally, as part of its ongoing effort to offer a Real Deal for America’s needy, the campaign will accept donations of toys and gifts at all of John Kerry’s Iowa appearances and at all 22 campaign offices throughout the state. Donations will be delivered to Toys for Tots drop-off locations across Iowa in advance of the winter holiday season. Supporters are encouraged to demonstrate their shared commitment to service by volunteering their time and resources during the upcoming holiday season."

Visit http://www.johnkerry.com/states/ia/ or call (515) 288-5504 for more information.

2. Thank you!!
The Dean Corps has been doing projects like this in Iowa for months (Including the Great American Potluck bringing together Thanksgiving food for the needy from across the state), and I welcome the Kerry campaign's concern for the less fortunate.

8. He's been doing it for decades. Nice of you to notice.
His charitable works in Mass. and in the DC area are lifelong and legendary. Teresa's efforts are also legendary and LIFELONG endeavors completely unattached to campaigning.

10. Here we go..haha..Now Dean started organizing charitable donation...haha
I hope my candidate doesn't start trying to win over young voters, cause Dean did that first.

3. Great idea
Toy drives are a great holiday charity opportunity. What you give goes directly to a child, and undoubtedly has an impact far in excess of the cost.

I can't recommend the GWB action figure, though.

4. Yet another reason to love Democrats
We're not perfect of course, but could you imagine the bush campaign doing something like this? This requires a heart and actual compassion...this sort of thing makes me proud of my party.

Way to go Kerry!

6. Yeah, this thread is just too positive
Toys for kids, that's no fun. :) Maybe we should have insulted Kerry, or incited the Clark people -- then we'd have a real thread.

Here's hoping lots of people participate in this! This is what it's all about.

7. hmmm, very true
How about we start rumors that the toys that Kerry will be donating are full of recalled chokable parts? That'll get the thread going.
