Cheney's grab-and-go rubs some the wrong way

Vice President Cheney is collecting millions in campaign contributions as he headlines fundraisers for the Bush-Cheney re-election bid and other Republican candidates.

If Cheney enjoys campaigning, it is not always apparent. Reporters have gauged his style as low-key and colorless at best, arrogant or out of touch at worst.

Cheney spokesman Kellems was quoted as saying the vice president was performing unspecified "duties of his office."

1. The "stealth" VP - and a frightening figure

For all the animosity directed at others in the Bush administration (and richly deserved), this guy remains Darth Vader. He is rarely seen or heard from. I believe that his "hidden hand" is the strongest among them all, and that he pulls the strings behind the scenes. He wants to remain anonymous, yet the center of power. Rumsfeld, Ashcroft, Rice - all pale, I believe, in terms of power wielded - and evil wrought - by Darth Cheney.

2. "Pale" is right

everybody is less "pale" in comparison to Darth Dick. That guy is so pale he's nearly clear, he's so pale when he has his daily heart checkeup doctors just lift his shirt and look at how his heart's beating.
