Proud of the democratic candidates

Despite the belittling of the democratic candidates during the past months by the media and the likes of Barbara Bush and others, I'm proud of these people. In their own ways, they represent what is good about a party that has a long tradition of tolerance, prosperity and fairness. My hat is off to all of them -- in alphabetical order.

Braun - a strong voice for no exception civil rights
Clark - a newly emerging leader who's unafraid to support liberal principles and take back the flag from John Ashcroft
Dean - a pugnacious, fighting centrist who won't apologize for being a democrat
Edwards - a man with more thoughtful ideas than strands of hair
Gephardt + Kerry - two battle scarred congressional fighters against the republican hegemony
Kucinich + Lieberman - two men who stand by their principles, even though some of those principles differ
Shapton - a sharp voice from the wilderness reminding us of our democratic heritage

Let's not ever forget that we are represented with some damn good candidates. None perfect, but all have their good points. We bicker fight and moan over our particular brand of vodka, but in the end, I'd be proud to vote for any of the bunch.

Look at the beautiful lot that Barbara Bush raised. 'Nuff said. No wonder George H-Dubs ran around on her.
