Media refuses to note CapitolHillBlue report that Bush on anti-depressant
The short executive summarry:

"Bush is taking powerful anti-depressant drugs to control his erratic behavior, depression and paranoia.

The prescription drugs, administered by the White House physician, can impair the President’s mental faculties and decrease both his physical capabilities and his ability to respond to a crisis, aides admit privately.

“It’s a double-edged sword,” says one aide. “We can’t have him flying off the handle at the slightest provocation but we also need a President who is alert mentally.” "

Bush Using Drugs to Control Depression, Erratic Behavior
By TERESA HAMPTON
Editor, Capitol Hill Blue

President George W. Bush is taking powerful anti-depressant drugs to control his erratic behavior, depression and paranoia, Capitol Hill Blue has learned.

The prescription drugs, administered by Col. Richard J. Tubb, the White House physician, can impair the President’s mental faculties and decrease both his physical capabilities and his ability to respond to a crisis, administration aides admit privately.<snip>

Tubb prescribed the anti-depressants after a clearly-upset Bush stormed off stage on July 8, refusing to answer reporters' questions about his relationship with indicted Enron executive Kenneth J. Lay.

“Keep those motherfuckers away from me,” he screamed at an aide backstage. “If you can’t, I’ll find someone who can.”

Bush’s mental stability has become the topic of Washington whispers in recent months. Capitol Hill Blue first reported on June 4 about increasing concern among White House aides over the President’s wide mood swings and obscene outbursts.<snip>

..."paranoid meglomaniac"..."untreated alcoholic".."lifelong streak of sadism"..."gloating over state executions"...."an admitted alcoholic"..."stories about his cocaine use"

<snip>
“We have to face the very real possibility that the President of the United States is loony tunes,” he says sadly. “That’s not good for my candidates, it’s not good for the party and it’s certainly not good for the country.”

1. I think we should make him submit to
a drug test. You need one to work at Wal Mart so shouldn't he be made to piss in a cup?

3. Capitol Hill Blue is about as reliable a news source as The Onion

Don't you take anything seriously?
Nah, we leave that to the politicians (and some of our readers). They take everything, including themselves, far too seriously.

4. Doug of Capitol Hill Blue stands by the story :-) -Like Novak he does not
name any sources either. But Novak's story seems to be accepted by mainstream media.

Doug says:

"I stand by Terry and the story. Before you keyboard commandos get too carried away, remember that those who doubted our first story about Bush's erratic behavior shut up pretty fast when Dr. Frank's book hit the stands and other psychiatrists agreed with his findings.

As someone else here pointed out, if the White House wants to prove us wrong, all they have to do is release the President's medical records (along with some current blood tests).

Doug"

5. It doesn't matter if it's reliable or not. . . .
since when has that stopped the press from reporting negative stories about Democrats? Why is it that they suddenly grow a conscience when it concerns a Republican???????????

8. True, but if it were a rumor about Kerry they would print first, ? later

Remember the Kerry "affair" non-story? It was based solely on a Drudge report and was completely false, but the mainstream media ran with it for days.

12. the three wings of the Republican Party..
The first wing is government. Republicans see government as nothing more than an institution to impose their will and taxes on every man, woman, and child. They seek to end free speech, freedom of thought, and free will as potential terrorist threats. Government doesn't belong to all of the people, it belongs mostly to the rich who pay more in taxes! The second wing is the financial interests of the Republican Party. Republicans believe that if a business you start forces a big company to lower its prices, or if some product you develop is not patented..then your business is illegal and a danger to us all. The third wing is the press. This wing does whatever it can to cover the asses of Republican incumbents and to destroy America's two-party system.

It doesn't matter that support for Kerry has increased nationwide since the convention, the press will not cover this or anything else that might endanger the privileged blue blood of George the Second or any other Republican puppets.

13. Take it for what it minimally is
At least a step above the Onion. It is at least a convincing fiction based on a truer reading of Bush's character except that the out of control episodes can be taken as going into wishful thinking. I bet i could script whole conversations between Jeb and W about fixing votes in Florida and other intimate nasties, even perhaps discussions of babes and obscenities about enemies or the poor. I could even say I was quoting a source or tapes.

The only enjoyable point as with Clinton haters if they HAD to imagine Clinton's romps is the reasonable likelihood and what makes it justifiable. Bush in constant protected therapy actually would be more understandable if we knew what drugs he was taking, what pushes him beyond the limits, and how his trusty necessary earplug has the drawback of making him sound even dumber than he would without it because he can't work with it with any degree of skill.

No proof, just fun and occasionally pushing at the veils and illusions which keep him more removed from reality than ANY fiction one could invent.
