At last a - "FOX Blocker" for your TV
Edited on Tue Sep-21-04 10:48 AM by TA
This morning on Air America's Unfiltered they had an interview with the inventors of this product. I checked out their web site and a key point is that with every order placed, FOXBlocker.com will send an e-mail in your name to the TOP 10 advertisers at FOX News letting them know that yet another subscriber has opted out of FOX News. You get this strong message out and the FOXBlocker for just $8.95. I've ordered one and will update everyone after I connect it to my TV.

www.FOXBlocker.com

From their homepage:
Purchasing a FOX Blocker and telling the advertisers at FOX News why you did it will encourage advertisers spending their money somewhere else.

If we band together and tell the advertisers to shut the FOX up, we can help limit the scope, or at least the profitability of FOX News.

FOXBlocker is an innovative new product that filters out the FOX News network. Simply screw the filter into the back of your TV and never be exposed to right wing propaganda again (at least through FOX News). Using a proprietary technology, the FOXBlocker works to filter out FOX News from your cable lineup.

Protect yourself and your family, or send one to a misguided right wing friend.

Priced at JUST $8.95, the FOXBlocker is a wonderful way of telling the advertisers at FOX News that you are no longer interested in being exposed to right wing propaganda.

With every order placed, FOXBlocker.com will send an e-mail in your name to the TOP 10 advertisers at FOX News letting them know that yet another subscriber has opted out of FOX News. With a little luck and a lot of volume, we can shut the FOX up!

5. Do YOU have a list of their advertisers and their address's handy
My belief is this is a stronger message to those advertisers.

3. Complain to your local cable network.
And make sure you're getting the Sundance Channel.

8. I love this idea.
Yes, we could all send them e-mails that we're not WATCHING, but how strong a message is it to say "We think you suck SO much, that we want to make it like you don't even exist.

No flipping past the channel, no nothing.

You are dead. Your content is dead; your advertisers are dead.
Buh bye."

I'll say it again.
I love this idea!

13. Have you asked the gym to change the channel?
(not that it matters because they all parrot the same crap anyway) but tell them that you can't tolerate the racist french-bashing anymore, and will go to a different gym if they don't do something about this spew.

that should work if they've got independent settings on the TVs, but if they've got one of those satellite setups it may be beyond their control.

i used to work for a gymchain.
