one of the Anthrax thingies.... and they left that office untouched for over a year afterwards.... Was there something there that somebody didn't want found? Hmmmmmmmmmm??????

14. Ha! You're totally wrong.
CNBC is probably one of the most profitable channels out there.
Sure, not many watch their evening programming, but businesspeople tune in during business hours -- and the advertising revenue is probably the largest out of any network due to the financial demographics of its audience. Rich, white folks.

4. How much would they charge?
If they knew the person was liberal, about ten times what they'd ask a Republican for.

8. We'd be better off if we bought PBS and added a cable version

It's past time to do away with the Nation Propaganda for the Republicans. Give the repuKKKes what they want in media as long as we can have a couple real liberal media outlets.

GE, Disney-CapCities-CIA-ABC-ESPN, AoHell, etc are never going to give up these valuble media portals. New ones are going to have to be crested from somewhere. I think giving up the PBS facade would be a good thing. Hell Public Broadcasting has turned into rightwing psychops.

12. We need someone to create a corporation for the sole
purpose of buying out an existing network or creating a "liberal" network to counter the RW bias of all the others. I personally would buy shares and so would millions of other Dems. Many of us have funds in IRAs, Deferred Comp. plans, or 401K plans that could easily be converted to shares in such a network. It could be a Win-Win situation for everyone. Shareholders make money but most importantly, the country wins by getting our government back. Ted Turner, we need you. If you don't do it, please, someone else with the experience, connections and expertise come forward.

15. Since when are private corporations "liberal"?
The will of the shareholders and board members eventually win out, and they are not on our side for the most part.

Maybe this is the reason the American "left" is destined to committ suicide (or the reason it should). Everything has to be solved with a big-daddy billionaire and a for-profit corporation. The general lack of belief in cooperative, public solutions is reason enough to let them fall onto the proverbial scrapheap.

Remember when "enlightened" capitalism was going to save the environment? Well it has taken over the government and had its presidential errand-boy "free" the Iraqi people ...from their birthright to the oil under their land.

Please take this hint: The BBC is the most trusted (and probably the most accurate) news broadcaster in the world. It is their kind of expertise we must use to improve news reporting in this country.

16. You May Be Interested In World News Trust
World News Trust is a grassroots independent media project with plans that I don't want to reveal right now. Cheers, Tad Goodwin, World News Trust project manager.

13. I'd like to see George Soros & Ted Turner make a dual effort
to buy back CNN. They could seek out other like-minded billionaires for additional financing.
