1. I couldn't find ABC's website poll--and I looked--momentarily.

2. They read their undecideds poll
Chenney won, but they are heavily weighed for GOP... they also said... that more Repubs saw the debate than Democrats...

4. Because more Republicans can
stomach listening to and watching Cheney speak, all the time nodding their heads like zombies.

ABC must've forgotten to put that part in.

3. ABC's Charlie Gibson is the next prez debate moderator - maybe ABC
is trying to tweak the audience perception so they'll actually watch on Friday night.

5. Charlie's the one who really didn't like the 32 page rule sheet also
Friday will definitely be an interesting one to watch. For obvious reasons of course, but also to see how Charlie interacts with them.

I'm not positive, but I think with Charlie possibly breaking the rules, that would be a good thing for Kerry.

Wishful thinking, I know.

6. followed by Bob Schieffer, brother of old Bush partner, Tom Schieffer.
Tom Schieffer was an old Texan business partner of George W. at the Texas Rangers, then Bush appointed him Ambassador to Australia in 2001.

A little too close for CBS's Bob Schieffer to be a moderator don't you think EVEN if Bob is supposed to be a great journalist? Shouldn't Bob Schieffer recuse himself from this campaign, at least not be the moderator for the last debate?

For the Schieffer bio: http://www.state.gov/r/pa/ei/biog/7583.htm

7. Playing devil's advocate (and imagining good spin for Schieffer),
maybe Bob Schieffer's younger bro's connection to bushco was the only reason they agreed to him as a moderator, and they're expecting favorable treatment.

Bob Schieffer happens to have integrity and may instead turn bush on the spit, making sure he's evenly roasted.
