Anyone notice the Plame-Bartman connection?

The Chicago Sun-Times has come under question in other newspapers for being the first to publish Bartman's name and biography. The questions were about if those details were newsworthy enough to justify the damage, or even danger, to his life.

They also faced some questions about the Robert Novak column they distributed, outing Valerie Plame. Again, the question was about the need to print those details. I saw Wolf Blitzer interview the editorial page editor of the Sun-Times. He was not apologetic, though Blitzer was pretty hard on him. He was also not the only one to make the same decision. I think only one paper chose not to run the column, or else ran it without the name. It might have been the New York Post, oddly enough, though I might have that wrong.

Just a coincidence, I don't think there's anything meaningful in the connection, but it's kind of interesting.
