...right after the national & local newscasts.

"The chairman of the Bush/Cheney re-election campaign, joins Kathleen Dunn, after nine.Guest: Marc Racicot, Chairman of Bush/Cheney Presidential Reelection Campaign 2004, former chairman of the Republican National Committee, and former governor of Montana
(1993-2001)"

If you want to listen to the webcast visit http://www.wpr.org/webcasting/ and select 'Ideas Network'. While this particular host is overly polite to her guests no matter which side of the political spectrum they're on, the callers tend to be very literate, well-informed, and left-leaning. Could be fun.

Listen for the toll-free number if you want to add your comments...

On edit: Phone number is 1-800-486-8655, he's only there until 9:30. Was a big snooze so far, didn't miss anything. Hope the calls are interesting...

So they took two calls. First one, critical of Cheney's secrecy & Halliburton connections; second one, critical of the administration's assertions that Iraq was a terrorist threat. Not surprisingly, he regurgitated a bunch of spin points in response... He practices the art of using lots of words to say very very little, which I'll guess is a deliberate tactic to avoid having to take more potentially embarrassing calls. The segment's over now.

Whatta weenie.

2. Wisconsin Public Radio
IMHO is the best out there and Kathleen is a fantastic and well versed hostess. The WI residents who call in are also for the most part educated and savy. I really miss Tom Clark though.

3. I agree
Kathleen can make a lot of great points while being so nice that it's hard to take issue with her. And I too miss Tom. I've never heard the health show that he does on Saturday, but at least you can hear his voice occasionally on the promos.
