Pointing out that 90% of law enforcement is "looking backward." If a crime was committed, it has to be investigated. He's convincing Schultz.

...all those pesky rapists and murderers need to look forward and get on with their lives - we decided that it wasn't worth it to divide the community, best to move on.

She gets absolutely livid about murders and wants to torture and dismember murderers. I asked her the other day, "Don't you want the person who killed the little girl to be punished?" "Hell, yes," she said. "So, don't you want people who tortured to be punished?" "Did they torture terrorists?"

Sigh.

2. If only the pot smokers were treated the same way -- looking forward.
I hate that we spend money incarcerating people who had some bad habits that didn't hurt anyone else. I hate that our govt ruins lives over a little pot.
