Could someone post a "Restore the Fairness Doctrine" on the White House's Open Government Brainstorm
site? I haven't researched media issues like regular posters to this forum have. I think it would go in the http://opengov.ideascale.com/akira/ideafactory.do?id=4049&mode=top&discussionID=2253">Communications Strategies section of the

topic. I don't have files on this, or I'd do it myself. After all, open gov't can't flourish w/o a media forced to reveal truths unpopular to the corporate owners. As David Swanson knows from bitter experience, the media can paint a candidate unfriendly to corporate dominance, even one currently holding a high office, as unviable--unable to win. And if those outlets are not forced to report the words of those with opinions to the contrary, the corporate depiction becomes a generally held "truth".
