'Love' Of Our Troops
"The United States is unlike many countries in the world as to how it treats their troops. In the majority of the world’s countries, soldiers are treated with lavish respect and consideration; they are usually part of the elite of the world’s governments and that of society. They are a highly respected part of society and more highly regarded than the entertainment figures. In the United States, by contrast, our troops are the neglected children of society. Upper class young adults do not aspire to military service, our society treats them as caricatures of the ‘establishment,’ and their pay is on par to that of the lowest skilled professions."

Note: This is something I really wish our idiot politicians would face. They treat our troops like dirt compared to other countries and yet we expect so much out of them.

1. Could the attitude toward our uniformed killers be colored by their willingness to
perform the destructive actions dictated by the cretins who order them into foreign countries to kill innocents?

WWII was the last time any of them acted like heroes. Every battle fought since then has been in the service of the MIC and the criminals who profit from death and destruction. Admiring a Mafia hitman = admiring the US military.

2. Guess that makes President Truman, Kennedy and Johnson and Obama
the same as Mafia capos.

that should be comforting for those who know our soldiers are trying to let us know that what is going on is wrong. We must bring them home, and we must give them the benefits they deserve. http://www.flickr.com/photos/63243500@N00/209371208/sizes/m/

5. Mistreating one's own troops dates back to at least 1890
when Rudyard Kipling wrote a poem named "Tommy" about the plight of British soldiers.
