A voice in the wilderness.
When reading the Tennessean (Nashville) today I came across a story of a woman who sculpts in wood. She had made a "political parody pole" to represent the decline of U.S. society. Imagine a totem pole if you will, to be read from the top down.

At the top is the Statue of Liberty consuming the earth. She gets indigestion and drops her torch. Out of this come the United States which falls behind an 8-ball which serves as the head of "our current leader" who holds a rattlesnake in his right hand and a boa constrictor in his left.
These serve as the reins of a Trojan horse that contains a Blackhawk helo.
Under that is Big Ben showing the 11th hour. Finally the White House is shown resting on a big bush displaying a dollar sign.

The artist says she is apolitical.

By the way, she is looking for a public place to display this.

I would have provided a link but I can't find the article on the Tennessean's website.
