Poll question: On which channel did you watch the 2000 presidential election returns?
I'm talking about Bush vs. Gore, November 7, 2000.

Which channel did you spend the most of your time watching that night?

3. Flipped between them all.
But knew when they were all confused over the exit polls and the drop of votes from Valusia County that the fix was in.

5. Quite a mix
Mostly CNN, but then I went to a poll watching party for a local election so the tv there was a local news station.

During the 10 minute drive from home to the party, Florida turned from Gore declared winner to "to close to call"

Ugh.

6. I myself watched NBC.
I flipped over to CNN and Fox News (forgive me!) a few times, though.

7. CNN
I cryed a lot when * was first annouced as the winner. Then I went to bed. And then my mother woke me up with the news that CNN had uncalled it. And that was where I was when the most bizzare two months in American electoral history begun.....

9. Flipped, definitely.
I didn't go to bed until 2 in the morning, tearful and resignated that Bush had won (was it CNN who first declared him the winner?) I remember the graphic of Dubya and his smirk with the words "George Walker Bush, 43rd President of the United States".

I was 16. I really think that was the moment I first started to really care about politics.
